BUMS
Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery — 4.5 years of academics plus a one-year rotatory internship.
DetailsM J Patel Unani College & Hospital was founded in 2004 with a clear purpose: to bring affordable, dependable Unani treatment to the villages of Beed district, and to give local students a medical education close to home.
Today the campus spans 12 acres and houses 14 academic departments, a 250-bed teaching hospital, a digital library and a herbal garden of more than 300 medicinal plants.
We do not prepare our students merely for a degree. When they finish Kulliyat and Moalajat, we want them to carry both the skill of reading a pulse in their hands and compassion for the patient in their hearts.
Every batch begins hospital postings in the first year, so that no distance remains between the textbook and the patient. That is our greatest strength.
Dr. A. R. Shaikh

The herbal garden was our best classroom. I learnt the names of the Advia not from a book, but by touching the plants.

I came from a village and the hostel gave me the feeling of home. The fees were modest enough that they never burdened my father.
