Chairman's Message

A promise from the trust.

From the Chairman

This institution was built out of necessity, not for profit

I was born in this region. In my childhood I watched people travel forty kilometres even for a fever — and sometimes, because help arrived too late, a household was left in mourning.

When we started this college and hospital in 2004, the thought was simple: treatment should be available here, and those who provide it should be trained here too. Today more than 1,800 of our alumni practise across Maharashtra, Telangana and Karnataka, and many have returned to run clinics in their own villages. To my mind there is no greater measure of success.

The trust follows one rule: whatever the hospital earns is spent on the hospital and the college. No poor patient is ever turned away for want of fees — that was our decision on the first day, and it will hold until the last.

In this new phase we are investing particularly in infrastructure, the digital library and research, so that our students stand second to none from any large city college.
